Luna is a creative and caring journalist who has the ability and desire to dig deep into issues that matter. She brings a wealth of history and real people into her stories. In addition to writing regular stories on the Indigenous nations of Washington state, Luna participated in our newsrooms inclusive language committee, helping to update the Crosscut Stylebook. Her work epitomized our newsroom goal of not just writing about communities but writing for communities. Her source building work set an example for her colleagues and she was also admired for her work ethic and uplifting attitude.
